The controversial jungkreut development area is surprisingly off the table

The controversial jungkreut development area is surprisingly off the table

There were already young families who had hopes for a building plot in the direction of the michelsberg forest. But the idea of pushing the outskirts of gaustadt further west along the road to the animal shelter is apparently facing insurmountable obstacles.

As bamberg's mayor andreas starke (SPD) said, a few days ago a unanimous resolution was passed by the supervisory board of the municipal utility company. In it, the political factions prioritize water conservation over the acquisition of building land. The OB said that this would make the planned development a failure.

Dominican building gets artistic windows

Dominican building gets artistic windows

Eight renowned artists, who have already made a name for themselves with glass works, took part in an invitation-only competition organized by the bamberg state building authority for new insulating glass windows for the ancient dominican building in the sand. The competition was not an end in itself. The idea for this came about during the search for a solution for the energetic renovation of the windows. The state building authority and the state office for the preservation of historical monuments agreed to replace the old, but not historically valuable windows with artistically designed heat protection glass.

Gunter grohs, a graduate glass designer from wernigerode, emerged as the winner of the competition. His design and those of the other participants are on display in the dominikanerbau from today until next wednesday at the latest. The room that serves as the university's auditorium is open today from 10 a.M. To 3 p.M., tomorrow, friday, from 10 a.M. To 2 p.M., and from monday to wednesday of next week from 10 a.M. To 3 p.M. Bad bruckenau: proposals for the library

Bad bruckenau: proposals for the library

The city council – twelve of the total of 20 council members had come to the specially convened meeting – thronged between the bookshelves on tuesday evening. 200 active users registered the library in the past year. "That’s little, that’s very little. This is worryingly little", stated jan marberg. He has been head of the city library in the old town hall since december.

The rooms are small, sometimes cramped, and inaccessible to people with walking disabilities. The staff could not keep track of arriving visitors. The signatures of the bookers are different. Movies, music cds or console games are not available at all. Several books, especially in the non-fiction section, are considered outdated. A single powerful computer was still available. At least, free W-lan is available in the entire building (tourist information, library and local history rooms).

Why there will be no new building area in marktrodach after all

Why there will be no new building area in marktrodach after all

The result of a noise protection survey puts a spanner in the works for building applicants in marktrodach. The designation of the brownfield site in the former quarry area in kleinvichtach as building land is therefore off the table for the time being. Around 20 prospective home builders now have to embark on a new search to fulfill their dream of owning their own home.

As mayor norbert grabner explained, there was a lively demand for construction in his community. It was only in the recent past that the buhl III and IV areas were designated as building areas, developed and built on.
