Richard bar again on the podium at the german championships
In sulzbach in the saarland region of germany, the 31. German senior championships in lifesaving swimming held. Eight individual swimmers and one team from the DLRG kronach district association qualified. The active team returned to kronach with a bronze medal and several other good placings in the bag.
In the age group (AK) 70 male, richard bar (kronach) made a mistake in his first event over 50 meters combined swimming, which brought him not only a worse time but also 50 penalty points. The second competition over 25 meters dragging a doll brought him again a little closer to the medal range, but only by a good time in the third round (50 meters freestyle) bar managed to secure the hoped-for bronze medal.
Gabriele grudl (teuschnitz, AK 40 female) and renate knobloch (kronach, AK 60 female) did not have this luck. Despite excellent times, they had to be satisfied with the ungrateful fourth place in their age groups with only a small distance to the podium places. But both could be justifiably proud of their achievements.
Silvia jakob (teuschnitz) also competed in the female age group 40. On the way to a good placement in the midfield, she was faster than the starting whistle at the second start, which earned her a disqualification for this discipline and put her in 12th place. Threw back place.
Michael bar (kronach) competed in the male 35 category. Seeded 11th, he made up two ranges and placed ninth in the top ten. In the discipline 100 meter rescue with fins he missed his set goal to swim under one minute only by 27 hundredths of a second.
