Winged runner comes to the hsc from gummersbach

A young wing duo awaits the fans of HSC 2000 coburg on the left side in the coming season. In addition to 21-year-old felix sprob, who has been under contract with the coburg team since this season, max jaeger from vfl gummersbach will be hunting for goals for the black-and-yellows next season via the left wing lane. Born in 1997, the winger trained in the vfl gummersbach youth academy and was already part of the bundesliga squad there for the 2016/2017 season at the age of 19. In the current season, he has been able to gain further first league experience, for example in the game against the SG flensburg-handewitt.

21-year-old max jaeger is already looking forward to the new challenge: "i’m very much looking forward to the new task and challenge in the 2nd division. Bundesliga. I am sure that it will be a very valuable next step for my further development as an athlete but also as a person. It is not easy to leave home, including the vfl gummersbach, but in coburg they have been very appreciative of me and I was given the impression right from the start that they have a plan and corresponding goals here. In addition, i have heard only good things about the HSC and coach jan gorr, and they have shown me good sporting prospects. I hope for a successful cooperation, in which i want to contribute to the success of the HSC coburg with as much playing time as possible."

Max jaeger brings a lot of talent to the table, which coach jan gorr believes should be developed further in coburg: "max is an exciting young player who still has a lot of potential. In addition to the high talent factor, max also brings with her the ability to cover in a half-position. Among other things, we will continue to work intensively on these things and thus create the conditions for a similarly positive development, as we have already succeeded with lukas wucherpfennig, felix sprob or benedikt kellner."

Steffen ramer is delighted to have signed another young player: "with max, we have convinced a young, german player of our concept in coburg, and have also shown him his personal prospects. We are currently working on the continuation of his studies in coburg so that he can quickly find his way into our team from the next round onwards and, together with felix sprob on the left auben, can provide a whirlwind and scoring danger."
